While we paused regular publication of the site on May 15, 2018, and transitioned some of our coverage to Peacebuilding Deeply, we are happy to serve as an ongoing public resource on the Syrian conflict. We hope you’ll enjoy the reporting and analysis that was produced by our dedicated community of editors contributors.

Amr Shayah has a BA in Aviation Engineering from the University of Aleppo. He has been part of Syria’s civil society since the beginning of the uprising. As field coordinator for northern Syria, Project Tamkeen, he works closely with the Free Aleppo Governorate Council and other community members.

As efforts to establish a no-fly zone or implement humanitarian aid drops for Eastern Aleppo are continuously shut down, University of Aleppo engineering graduates Abdulrahman and Amr Shayah urge the deployment of steerable parachutes to safely drop much-needed aid and medical supplies.
